GREAT SACANDAGA BREWING CO. IS A NEW AND EXCITING CRAFT BREWERY AND TAPROOM OPENING UP BROADALBIN.

Our mission is to become a New York state farm brewery. Using 100% new York grown grains and hops. We want to create a great customer experience within our facility through our craft beer and friendly service. We want our love of the Great Sacandaga Lake to be reflected in everything we do. Our intention is for our customers to experience a “Taste of the Lake” in every drop.

Our company currently has two brewers that are prepared to work full time to produce an array of standard beer recipes and rotating seasonal releases to be served at it’s own taproom. One brewer is the Company President with homebrewing experience since 1988 and a management background as a retired Army Officer, while the other brewer is school trained at Schenectady Community College and currently working as a full time brewer at a major nearby brewery.

Taproom sales will be targeted to local customers and the many tourists that frequent the area for it’s recreational activities surrounding the lake. There has been abundant interest at established bars and restaurants to enter into contract with our company and to serve our beer. Our company plans to self distribute our products in 1/2 barrel and 1/6 barrel kegs as needed.

Principal competitors in the area are not seen as competitors at all. They are seen as friendly competition and colleagues in the local beverage industry. We would be one of the pioneers in the development of a local beverage trail and have discussed the same with one established brewery as well as a local distillery in planning. A beverage trail would benefit the local population, local businesses, and continue to draw more business to this area in search for a new and exciting venue.
